Homestuck cosplay in general is actually pretty cheap, because a lot of items are very easy access and can also be used for everyday wear. I feel truly sorry for Sakizou cosplaters. for example q:  

If I bought all my items for my Cronus cosplay right now, it'd probably be... 360 USD? But like I didn't pay half of that because you reuse supplies, a tub of paint goes a long way, etc. Not to mention my Cronus jeans are also my everyday jeans.

Of course, that assumes you've the time to do tons of research and preparation to avoid costly errors, as well as the time to lurk fabric stores and sales groups, and do a lot of things from scratch instead of going the easy route to buy them (such as my earfins). It's definitely a material hobby, and I absolutely understand it's not for everyone.

Anyway, your art's real neato! I think I've seen it before, kinda makes me miss doing digital art too, TBH.
