God knows the last thing we need on this site is more Gemstuck prompts but I need this, you need this, we all need this. So, this is for a Gemstuck John, who crashes to Earth after an unfortunate trip through a meteor shower. Before I go further, I'd like to mention that John is //NOT// a male gem. He is, like the rest of the gems in canon, genderless but he is masculine presenting and goes by he/him or they/them pronouns.

This is MULTI-PARA with a 6 PARAGRAPH MINIMUM FOR THE STARTER. I'm accepting any character besides the Makaras, Zahhaks, Nitrams, Nanna, Grandma English, Grandpa Harley, Midnight Crew, the Felt, Jake, Jade, Jane, and the Dancestors. No OCS, no genderbends, and the trolls must be humanstuck. I will **ONLY** do shipping with a Dave, Dirk, Roxy, Rose, or Karkat--and the chances of shipping happening are really, really, really low. Broadcasting on several radios, television sets, and phones down on Earth was the video (or, just the voice) of a strange being. Strange, because their entire body was an odd shade of indigo, deep blue, and banded with white lines seemingly at random. There was that, and then there was circular stone that looked to be lodged in their chest, which was definitely weird. Over, and over, did their message repeat, spouting nonsense that the people of Earth could not really grasp.

That is, save for the few that /did/ understand what the alien was going on about.

"This is Blue John, Facet-4I3E Cut-0JE. This is a recorded transmission--" At this point in the recording, there was a sound of crashing and the camera shook furiously. The alien (Blue John, apparently) looked like they lost their composure for a moment. before continuing. The sounds of beeping got more frantic in the background. "This is a recorded transmission, broadcasting on all available signals. I must regretfully inform my superior, Blue Diamond, that my ship was unfortunately in the way of a meteor shower during low power mode and was left vulnerable during the shower. My engines are out, and I am readily crashing towards..."

They paused, eyes widening as they seemed to scan something. Blue John hesitated, once more being rocked about, and then continued. "I am crashing towards the failed Gem Colony Earth, in the Crystal System. If I survive the crash, and if this message is received, /please/ send assistance." At this point, the video became garbled, the video cutting in and out. "My incompi-BZZT...will be-SHHRK...note-BZZT. Blue John out."

Meanwhile, a gem of high standing was busy trying not to get himself killed. He was a rare fluorite gem, so rare in fact, that his class only came once in a blue moon (ha). He was a diplomat, he was a scholar, he was a warrior, he was a lot of things. Right now, however, he was crashing down onto some old, failed mess of a colony with slim chances of survival and even slimmer chances of rescue. The satellites here were /so/ outdated, he doubted they could get past Neptune! So all he could do, as he descended upon that blue-green mess of a planet, was sit back and hope the stars were in his favor.


Perhaps they were /halfway/ in his favor. Because, yes, he did crash quite hard--enough to have him flying out of his seat and through the broken windshield of his ship, at least, leaving him to face plant right into some sand. Shaken, beaten, but at least his gem and his physical form weren't destroyed. The only downside? His ship was broken up so badly, and unbeknownst to him, his transmission finally ended its repetition after thirty minutes of it going on, and on, and on. So, there goes the hope of back up.

Groaning, grunting, and generally making a bunch of noises one would expect another to make after being catapulted out of their vehicle, Blue John rose from the terrible grainy sand and stared at his surroundings in some ungodly amalgamation of interest, horror, disgust, and awe. This place, it could have been amazing. Its resources could have made such a /wonderful/ colony. Yet, at the same time, as he gazed out to the nearby ocean, he felt like something would have been missing if that water wasn't there. Blue John shook his head--no, nope. Nope. He had to focus on getting himself together, getting acclimated to his surroundings, and...make sure he could salvage his ship.

Blue John looked behind him, at the smoking wreckage that was his vessel, and felt his entire body crumple in defeat. Yeah, no. He couldn't fix that. Not on this planet, with its old gem tech and barbaric /everything/. It was at this point, that he had completely lost his calm, even demeanor. Sure, he was a fluorite, a /Blue fucking John/, but even he couldn't keep himself from exploding after this. He let out one long, drawn out, painful vulgarity, then went over to salvage whatever he could of his own belongings. Once he got that out, there was a flash of light, a 'shing!', and a large hammer appeared in his hands.

He promptly slammed the hammer into the side of his ship, breaking it into even more scattered pieces. He was going to be stuck here, he thought. Stuck on this miserable planet for the rest of his days. Sure, he could probably find some sort of abandoned gem outpost, but could he really do much with it? Absolutely not. Blue John groaned, threw his weapon into the sand (where it vanished in a flash of light), and fell onto his knees. Blue Diamond was going to be so disappointed.

And as he sat there, bemoaning his own misfortune and thinking of a million ways to make his situation less awful, he did not notice another person coming to the beach until they were a good few feet away from him. Bristling, he stood up, nearly tripping over his feet. His gem began to glow, and from behind him bits of the wreckage began to lift up from the ground--why, yes, he did intend to hurl these bits of junk at the unwanted guest. Though, he /was/ going to at least let them explain themselves before the hurling of junk began.

"Who are you, and what are you doing here?" He demanded, glaring. "Don't get any closer, unless you'd like a...uh, a capacitor thrown at your head."
