If I have a prompt that is well past 800 words with lots of room for wordbuilding...
MAYBE DON'T
RESPOND
WITH 125 WORDS ON THE DOT
WITHOUT EVEN ASKING FIRST.

Yikes™.
I'm really sorry about that! It sucks major language balls. I hope when you repost your prompt, you get someone better and willing to discuss things!

agreed!! most of the time it comes across as a Major Lack of Shits Given and thats not fun for anyone involved, imo. except maybe the person who wrote the aforementioned reply, but thats sort of beyond the point.
hope you find someone better!

I legitimately asked if it was a joke because, like, normally somebody might say, "This is quite a lot and I'm not sure I'll be able to match, is it still okay for me to respond?" to which I reply, "Of course!" But the fact that they just considered it a given that I would find their reply acceptable when I put so much time and effort into crafting something with substance feels like a slap in the face.

yeah, thats understandable. it can be disheartening to put so much effort into a prompt only to be, quote, graced, unquote, with replies that arent even half as fleshed out, and with no discussion prior to it. like, length can be excused, but... yknow. quality is harder to bypass.
same goes for roleplays where you actively put an effort into your replies only to have your partner send you two lines of typo-riddled deviantart bullshit and slander tbh
