I KNOW I was faulty of not putting my headcanon in OOC or even describing his appearance in the prompt but!!!!!!!!!!!!
That doesn't excuse for writing my Dave as "tall and pale" like OKAY he IS tall but he's black. He's goddamn black. I don't care if you don't like that headcanon or think it's not historically accurate MY DAVE IS BLACK.
AND HIS NAME IS NOT DAVID. IT'S DAVE. JUST DAVE.

Okay autoing characters is so annoying. Normally you should just talking ooc about headcanons but still. Even if you don't ask before you assume!!!!

OH YEAH the correct word is autoing. I couldn't remember for the life of me how we usually refer to that and went to the closest I could find. But yeah, they rushed their reply and here I am!!!! Here I fucking am!!! With a white David Strider!!!!!!

Nah godmoding still works, though normally when I hear it I think of rping like a little kid.
Ie.
"I punch you"
"Nuh-uh I have steel skin"
"Well then I use jet fuel to melt you"
"Nuh-uh I'm immune to that"
"Then I-"
"I'm immune to everything!"
That sort of thing. I hope that made sense.

I've gotten so tired of people autoing my characters that it's just an automatic disconnect. Good roleplayers don't need to explicitly state the features of characters they're not even playing, but if they MUST, then they ask first.

honestly (and im speaking kinda from personal experience here) you can totally get away with some passive-aggressing by saying something along the lines of "yeah hes pale for his skin tone" because pale doesnt have to equal white!
i personally am mixed (hispanic/white) and can get Really Fucking Dark in the summer but currently im pasty as hell because the winter just ended and i hardly ever go outside during the day BUT even at my palest im still darker than a lot of white people i know
so yes, i am pale, but no, i am not Totally White™
yeah, im white passing, but the point is: every person has a range of color when it comes to their skin and the cycle of the year and how much sun they get so like
you can totally get away with still having him be black and if they complain you have the Hard Facts to back up this fucking Science
they havent earned your compliance/silence by autoing your character so dont let them get away with it!! ໒( •̀ ╭ ͟ʖ╮ •́ )७
