Alright so it was a while ago since I was hanging out on a forum, but I've been using forums a LOT in my days and currently the categories and subcategories seem... a tad narrow, so to say. Looking at what the tag generally revolves around, I decided to just throw out what I think might be a bit more efficient of a forum/subforum system. Here goes: Category: Cherubplay - Prompt sharing/prompt help could supposedly be mashed into one subforum, or be split into a roleplay general and a roleplay help general. If mashed, one can just state upfront 1) whether the prompt is theirs and, if so 2) whether they'd like critique. If split, the primary category allows for more inclusive discussion and the roleplay help would also be more open to things like replies, how to build a plot, characterization, etc.
- Rant/Salt is fine, as is suggestions.
- Looking at how a lot of the discussion in the tag revolves around discussion of characters and headcanons, a Muse subforum could probably be useful
- Same goes for a general Cherubplay forum. See my notes above. The suggestions subforum could supposedly also be switched into a pinned suggestions thread.
Category: Non-Cherubplay - Homestuck/MSPA. Cherubplay was originally intended for Homestuck RP so a general Homestuck/MSPA subforum could probably be relevant.
- Non-Cherubplay Roleplay. As in, off-Cherubplay RP. Some people might want to set up a multi-person roleplay session, which is pretty much impossible on the site. Some people just plain-old prefer blog- or forum style roleplays.
- Off Topic. For anything not directly related to Homestuck, roleplay, or Cherubplay. Such as anime recs and "share your pets" threads.
Again, it was a fair bit ago since I last used a forum, but as of now the categories seem kinda bulky to me. I'm not one to call shots on anything, but it's a suggestion to make the page more user-friendly (and thus more active).
Thoughts?

skeppsbrottI was thinking about prompt sharing/help being turned into one, but I may make that a separate category entirely since I don't want to have to enforce a "title key" rule other than title nsfw posts accordingly. Title keys can be fun but let's be real who wants more rules A muse forum is also an excellent idea, though would that go in Cherubplay, or General? The suggestion forum I'll be leaving as-is though, since if you suggest something others can then brainstorm with you, a single thread wouldn't work for that, and I can also sticky/lock threads that I need or are out of hand or against the rules, rather than just temporarily ban anyone involved on a single-thread suggestion thread. I'll be adding those boards to general, but after work, thank you! Quick edit: General discussion is off-topic discussion but I'll change it to General/Off Topic
