Alright so I really like the idea of adopting the theme of "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" and apply it to Cronus, as in, he had a brief touch with fame a few years back and though he's still able to work within the music industry, he feel stuck in stasis and don't actually know how to move past the fact that he"peaked" in his achievements several years ago. Not to mention that that "peak" wasn't even all that much to brag about.
Anyhow, I feel as if I've a good grip on HOW to write this, I just don't know where to go with it to make it at all appealing as anything more than a brief character exploration (which is also why I feel like a lot of my roleplays die out relatively quickly).
My initial thought was just to have him wake up hungover and heading out to the studio, and then depending on what role the replier chose to take on (a fan, a manager, a colleague) let that dictate how I want to work with the plot but... I don't know, it feels kinda weak.
In general I'd just like some thoughts on how to work with plot in roleplays. I've always had a hard time with this, like, you can't really set up a plot like you would in a novel or something as you're dependent on your partner and like half the fun is having them throw stuff at you and then have to figure out how to deal with that.
Any ideas? Are your roleplays usually as plotless as mine? If not, how do you best set up a potential plot in a way that doesn't necessarily set it in stone and still leaves room for your partner to come up with stuff for you?
