OH BOY THIS NEW BOARD IS MY CHANCE.
I've been aching to play Homestuck mafia for soooooooo long but nowadays it's so hard to find a chat, let alone an active one, let alone one that is active WHEN YOU WANT IT TO BE.
So why not make it? I'm all for that tbqh. I've personally held a few Homestuck mafia games (does anyone remember TheMemeZone on parp....... No let's not talk about that actually), and I'm pretty damn familiar with the rules, but this is so hard to create when you're alone.
So if anyone's interested, whether it is to mod, or just to play, reply here!! I'm super pumped about this.

OH BOY. *cracks fingers* *breaks hands* *cries*
Mafia!! Boy I love Mafia. I'll try my best to explain. It can sound a bit complicated at first - the easiest way to learn it, is to play it.
If you've ever heard of the game site Town Of Salem - it's basically the same thing, but better. But I'll explain anyway, because there's a good chance you don't know ToS either.
Mafia (also known as Werewolf in some regions) is a game of Town vs Enemies. Some players are citizens of the town - they're called townies. Some others, are part of the mafia. The role of the mafia is to kill every townie without getting caught. Each night, there's a murder. And each morning after, the town votes to execute someone they think is guilty of the murder. The mafias vote as well during the executions! Since no one but themselves know they aren't townies.
There are A LOT of different roles, whether they are town aligned, mafia aligned, or even neutral. Each role has a special ability. I'll make a list of the most common ones.
- Regular townie. They actually have no ability. Town aligned. - Mafia. Their only ability is to kill at night. Mafia aligned. - Angel. They have the ability to protect one person at night from potential murder. Town aligned. - Sheriff. They can investigate one player by night, and they'll be told whether they are "guilty" or "innocent". Depending on the other roles, that can be tricky! Town aligned. - Vigilante. They start the game with a gun, and can shoot ONE person with it. If they do it during the day, people will know who it is. If they do it at night, they remain anonymous. Town aligned. - Miller. MY FAV ASSHOLE. They're told they're a townie. But if the sheriff investigates them, they will appear as guilty. Which is a blatant lie. Town aligned. - Admirer. They start as town aligned, and are assigned one member of the mafia. If that mafia dies, they take their place in the mafia, and become mafia aligned. - Serial Killer. Third-party player. They can, or cannot kill, depending on their wish. Tho if they start killing, they can't stop. They need to be the only player left in the game to win.
I'm probably forgetting a lot, but those are a few basics!

Well there's epicmafia, but I never used it, I have no idea how it works. Lots of peeps do it on msparp tho! It's not complicated at all, just needs a GM/"skyvoice". I'm pretty used to doing that, so if cherub-mafia were to happen, I volunteer as skyvoice. As long as it's not for EVERY SINGLE GAME bc I enjoy being a player too!!

Oh yeah, that! Each game has a specific setting that works in an AU. It's decided before the game starts - for example, players will give ideas like "hey what if we played in Sea World" "no Sea World sucks I want us to be stuck in Walmart" "Ya'll are so americanocentric and I hate you" (that last reply would be mine). The players vote, and the setting is decided like that. We can also decide if it's Humanstuck, or not. So no, your characters aren't playing the game - they're stuck in a hellhole where all their friends keep dying in the weirdest manners possible.

If enough peeps are interested I can def try to set up a game sometimes soon!!! But it requires quite a few players. I'd say 5 or 6 is the minimum. Also, it can last a vvvvvvery long time. A few hours, I mean.
