I FINALLY kicked my own ass and sorted out my rps, deleting all of these that I wasn't interested in, and replying to the most recent ones. But now I'm left with three rps, last answered from March to January.
Do you think it's worth it to reply to them? I'm not asking specifically in my case - when that happens to you, do you bother replying? Even if you're still interested in the rp, do you disconnect, thinking the expiration date has passed? Or do you send OOC messages, asking if your partner is still interested?
I think I'm going to go with the last option, personally. But I'd like to know your opinions!

I am LAUGHING yet ASHAMED because out of the three rps that were awaiting answers, and to which I all gave the same OOC message because I'm a lazy trash, it turns out that two of them were with the same person. Life is a fraud. I am so ashamed. Bury me now under the mountain of my lies.

I've given replies and bumps to chats that were over a year old. I don't really mind because I don't really see it as wasting my time; if they end I've at least ended it with a post I feel proud of, and if they don't then hey, I gave it my best shot! I'm also a fan of not ending chats if I was the last one to reply, so I've a ton of chats from like mid-2015 that I consider dead but 100% wouldn't mind if I got a surprise reply on.
Why wouldn't it be okay?

I actually respond to all of my old chats! Of course, beforehand, I'm like "hey sorry for not answering" and then I give my response and pretty much wait. You'll be surprised to how many people actually stick around?? I have chats from 2014 that are still responding. It's honestly beautiful.
So yeah. Respond!!

There's only, like, 400 cherubplay accounts or some number like that, so if you consider how many of them all of us are liable to RP with, there's gotta be some overlap. One time I was RPing with a Terezi that I'd RPed with months earlier as Vriska. There's not unlimited possibilities in hell, after all.
Oh, and definitely reply. Some of my crown jewels are ancient and sporadic. Still good, though.
