to other people's prompts, i mean. for example, jadedavekat is my main ship that i want to rp atm, but i seem to be the only person looking for it about now. so i was wondering what the etiquette for responding to other people's prompts would be?
obviously i'm not going to hop into an rp without any discussion--i do NAPs to kind of force some sort of plotting beforehand in my own rps--but if someone says in their prompt, for example, "i'm playing karkat and for shipping i'd like a dave or a jade" or something like that, is it okay to ask them if they'd like a dave AND a jade?
i know there's not really a cut and dry answer to this, but if someone came into your rp like "but what if two" how would you feel?

i think itd be ok!! it depends on the prompt, really, and if you can make two people work in there. id be sure to ask before you go ahead and throw a response at who youre asking about, though, just to be safe!!! and be polite, but thats typically an always thing. but yeah i think thatd be ok!! be prepared for people to say no, though!!

I'm sure that should be fine as long as you asked first, but I'm sure plenty of people (like myself) might feel a bit awkward if you were the only person playing multiple characters, as they'd feel unfair with the unequal work distribution, but I'm sure as long as it's something you feel you could handle and you check to see if somebody is amenable to it, then that's more than fine in my opinion!
