To those concerned: I despise you.
I try to be tolerant. I really do. I know dyslexia can kick ass, my father is dyslexic, he explained how much he struggles with writing to me.
Still, I believe that if you don't think you can possibly give a reply that's pretty much equivalent to the prompt, or similar, you should refrain from replying.
Unless the prompter clearly says "you don't have to match length! short replies are welcome!" then please, please, stick to prompts that are of your own caliber.

Horror story:
So I have a 2+ paragraph minimum, though really if theres nothing much to respond to 1 para is fine. I'm not a hardass about it I'd just like people to match length.
I had this one rper write 1-4 sentences, and I cranked out 2-3 paragraphs in each responce to try and push them to write more. I told them ooc 'hey I said I'd like people to match length in my prompts...could you try and make your responces a little bit longer?'
They edited their last post. All they did was put long spaces between words and left huge gaps between lines.
Like this: example example example example

I'm sure they were joking with me and doing it out of frustration but I d/ced and never looked back...until they re-took my prompt to yell at me.

That :) literally :) just :) happened :) to :) me :)
I crank out six paragraphs, and though my ooc says that length doesn't matter as long as you give me something, they give me 5 sentences, two of those were spent on what clothes their character was wearing.
I shot them an ooc asking very politely for a bit more substance (even giving some suggestions on topics since they seemed like a decent person ooc). Now to see if they disconnect.

Dude this happened to me last night??? Like my prompt was taken, and it had 7 paragraphs, 7 really big ones too between 7-11 lines, and then this fucker comes in as Karkat, gives no OOC message at all, and instead gives me four lines. I didn't even read it. I just saw four lines and maybe something about Karkat leaving a pod and disconnected Like seriously? If you see the promoter has written way more than 4 lines try to give something substantial??? Hell, it's not like I ask much- half or more of my length is my general rule

People who don't talk OOC at all hit a HUGE pet peeve of mine. Come on friend. Take off your coat and shoes, say hello, have a sip of tea. We're not going to haul ourselves through the trenches just yet.

I once had a 10 para prompt. I got a 1 sentence reply. From a character I wrote I didn't want. I stick around give them a reply, 2 paras only just to test em. 10 words. D/C bai.

This person connected to three of my prompts wanting to play Karkat, gave me three lines MAXIMUM and then when I asked if it was a joke, they said yeah and disconnected. They did it again and I just disconnected without a word.

i posted a 10 para prompt for Eridan, got a Karkat who APPEARED enthused by it... it was all chill in OOC until they responded to me with 2 paragraphs?
i gave them the benefit of the doubt... like ok, not everybody can write super big posts! it's cool! i kept up with my usually consistent 4.
they replied a second time with even less than 2 and i haven't seen them since. i keep thinking they might come back when they feel inspired to but tbh i just wanna d/c. it's not even worth my time or energy, i feel.

I gave up my standards long ago and now just say "you dont always have to match length but try when you can and give me enough to work with"
that's also so when I'm burning out I can write 2 paragraphs instead of my average 6 though
