Oh man I have so many frigging OCs and projects!
Identity is the first in a trilogy
fadedlikethelilac and I are writing, it's about superheroes and relationships, and we have no straight people it's fantastic! Our main cast for that consists of the twins Esmond and Quin (the Twin Furies), and their love interests Airell (~~Mysterious Super Villain of Many Names~~), and Rhiannon (the Shield).
Grey has been my pet project since I was fourteen, but I've only just gotten to a point where I feel I can write it properly! It's a bit ridiculous but I love it. The main character is Ignatius, who's a flame elemental, and she's the daughter of Iris Solemn who's the president of the guild of necromancy. The previous president, Tomb, went missing under mysterious circumstances but she shows up again and it turns out Iris knew the whole time and shit goes down. There's a lot of characters for that one, but my mains are:
Ignatius - 18, main character, POV character, flame wielder
Tomb - four hundred and something, POV character, necromancer, mass murderer, immortal
Iris Solemn - five hundred and something, necromancer, immortal, Ignatius' mother, sour patch kid, my fave, Tomb's teacher, Ignatius' mother
Sevmire - five hundred and something, Iris' older brother, flame wielder, sour patch kid squared, detests pretty much everyone except Ignatius, one of the only old characters with an actual moral compass
Orion - five hundred and something, Iris' best friend/platonic soulmate/they sleep together sometimes, hates Sevmire, air elemental, agender, kind of irresponsible, Alison's parent
Alison - 22, Ignatius' best friend/platonic soulmate, femme lesbian, likes to seem flighty, air elemental, Orion's daughter, likes Sevmire more than Orion
Damien - 20, Ignatius' boyfriend, werewolf, parents run the largest werewolf pack in the northen hemisphere, has weapons magic, good person
Luke Davies - police detective, tailing Tomb, completely human, has no fucking clue what he's gotten himself into
And I'm stopping there or we'll be here all night!
Magi is a series of shorts about australian twenty somethings in a universe where magic is everyday, like ours. So we have
Imogen who is cranky as fuck, dislikes people (except for Clar), and she does a variety of jobs just because; then we have
Clar who is working on xie technomancy post grad degree, looking at technology innovations using magic, doesn't get along with cats, lives with Imogen, is okay with other kinds of magic but likes the stuff with computers best;
Mac who's half a selkie on her mother's side and is a beauty therapist, she knows how to apply the best eight hour glamours for perfect make up, perfume charms, stuff like that, she's kind of loud and rambunctious;
Cyril who is a fairy with blue beetles wings, is getting her law degree, has no volume control and is a little socially awkward but very cheerful about it;
Grae who's a sorcery school drop out, uses most of it's time talking to cats, keeps forgetting to update it's shapeshifting license; and
Marcus who is in the police academy, and is technically a werewolf but has no fucking clue what he's doing with anything else related to magic.
The Miscellaneous Misadventures of Millicent Mordran started as me trying my hand at kids fiction, so it's about teen detectives Millie Mordran and Peter Prior who try and puzzle out mysteries based in myth! They range from eleven to twenty years old in the stuff I've written for them, Millie's my sleuth who takes her cues from Sherlock Holmes and was unwittingly thrust into the hands of the greek gods, and her best friend Peter who's parents are archaeologists and are away a lot so he goes along with Millie.
Miranda & Blake is another urban fantasy type one about private detectives (are you sensing a theme here because
I am), Miranda has fire magic and not much memory before the age of twenty nine, Blake's her partner and a werewolf she picked up sometime back in the thirties. They mostly run around fixing supernatural shit, occasionally with the help of a variety of police officers, and always returning to the bar and their good friend Paul who runs it, and the fairies and other people he employs. In the modern time they've picked up a teenage seer by the name of Ceres who has psychotic breaks anytime she sees the future (D:), and a reputation for stopping murderers that they could do without.
Then I have a few other projects with far, far less development, including a cheesy aromantic coming of age story called
Cupid Missed, a murder mystery called
Edge of the Compass, and the story of a teenage murderer that I wrote for NaNo when I was sixteen called
The Trials and Tribulations of a Tired Teen I have an alliteration problem.
I try to post my shorter original fiction over at
Mordran & Prior!
